Mother paraded by village elders after allegedly confessing to killing her sons because they confronted her for selling their father’s properties(video)
A woman was paraded by village elders after she allegedly confessed to killing her sons in Ezeagu, Enugu State.
Videos shared online show elders of the village questioning the woman after her second son, named Emmanuel Chidera, died at the age of 22.
She allegedly confessed to killing Emmanuel and his brother.
A social media user who claims to know one of the woman’s dead sons alleged that the man told them at their last village meeting that his mother should be held if anything happens to him.
Another user claimed the mother had remarried a man from Kogi State and he encouraged her to sell off her late husband’s properties. Her children confronted her and told her to stop selling their father’s properties and they died after the confrontation.
After the alleged confession by the mother of the deceased, palm fronds were placed on her neck and she was paraded around the village while people followed and cursed her.
