Heavy Security As INEC Conducts Supplementary Elections In Oyo

There was a heavy presence of the police, the army, NSCDC, DSS and EFCC.

The supplementary elections in some parts of Ibadan North East/ Ibadan South East and Oluyole federal constituencies are ongoing.

The elections were declared inconclusive due to inability of BVAS to function and other irregularities in some polling units.

Dailypost reported that in one of the polling units in Oluyole federal constituency, the place was filled with security agencies.

It was observed that security agencies stationed their personnel at strategic areas around polling unit 001, Ward 7 in Oluyole Local Government Area.

The same thing was observed at polling unit 1, ward 2, Oluyole Local Government Area.

There was a heavy presence of the police, the army, NSCDC, DSS and EFCC.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Dr. Rahman Adeniran Tella led the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) team to monitor the elections.
