Idara Gold Walks Free From Court
Idara George, better known as Idara Gold, is a young Biafran ethusiast from Akwa Ibom State who celebrated her 20th Birthday by posting pictures of herself wearing Biafra attire on her Facebook wall
For that, she was arrested by DSS in Enugu, Transferred to Abuja, then moved to a military barracks in Niger State where she was kept for 18 months without charge and without access to her Lawyer and family
At one point, her family did know if she was dead or alive. When the outcry grew loud about her detention, the DSS quickly rushed her to Abuja where she was charged for being an IPOB member
She was eventually given bail, and Im pleased to say that Idara Gold has perfected her bail and left court a free woman pending her trial. Various Biafran support groups have begun raising money for her to start life again after almost two years in detention without charge
