The Islamic police said the haircuts were carried out at various areas of Maiduguri during the just concluded Sallah celebration.
Some youths whose hairstyles were said to have ‘violated good morals’ have been shaved by the Borno State Hisbah Command.
The Islamic police in a statement at the weekend, said the haircuts were carried out at various areas of Maiduguri, including Baga Road, Gwange district, Keleri, Fori, London, Dala, Madiganeri, Mulai, Shehuri, Magumeri, during the just concluded Sallah celebration.
According to the spokesperson of the outfit, Ibrahim Abdulkardir, the hairstyles violates the good morals, ethics and culture of the people of Borno State.
