The Nigeria Police Force, Kano State Command, on Friday, confirmed that there was an attack on an officer during a clash between policemen and thugs.

Kiyawa also debunked the report that the officers were hacked to death during a clash with thugs at the Rimi market area.
According to him, “the personnel of the command were called to stop unrest in the area; in the process, one of the officers was attacked and sustained injuries.”
He said the injured officer was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and was treated and discharged.
