‘287 Million’ New Naira Notes Reportedly Discovered Hidden In A Bank Vault During Joint Operation By EFCC And ICPC

This discovery was made amid cash scarcity that has seen Nigerians queue for hours at ATMs to get cash.

There was a joint operation between the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, EFCC and ICPC which led to the discovery of N287 million redesigned Naira notes hidden in a bank vault.

A video shared online shows new Naira notes stacked on shelves and on the floor in an inner room in the bank.

This discovery was made amid cash scarcity that has seen Nigerians queue for hours at ATMs to get cash.

This comes as many Nigerians battle with cash unavailability.
