Kebbi Tribunal Affirms Governor Nasir’s Election
The election of Governor Nasir Idris as the duly elected governor of Kebbi State has been upheld.
The State Election Petitions Tribunal chaired by Justice Ofem I. Ofem gave the judgement on Thursday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Idris of the All Progressives
Congress (APC) as the winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in the State.
But, General Aminu Bande (rtd) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had filed a 722-page petition
challenging the election of Governor Idris in the March 18 poll.
