Appeal court sacks Senator Ishaku Abbo
The Court of Appeal on Monday, October 16, nullified the election of Senator Ishaku Abbo, representing
Adamawa Northern Senatorial District. In its ruling, the court ordered INEC to withdraw the Certificate of
return issued to Senator Abbo, and re-issue it Rev. Amos Yohanna Kumai of the PDP.
Abbo contested on the platform of the APC in the February 25, 2023 National Assembly election and was
declared winner by INEC.
