During her marathon, the artist produced a number of paintings, many of which are reminiscent of childhood scenes. All activities took place at the Safe House, Adeola Hopewell Street, Eti-Osa, Lagos.

After spending an extra 10 hours on her project than initially planned, the artist documented her success on Instagram.

“At exactly 4:30 am on November 1, 2023, LolaMewu dropped her painting brush after reaching the 82-hour mark in the @guinnessworldrecords longest painting hours record attempt,” she posted. “She could not have done this alone, big thank you to everyone who assisted, supported, sponsored, and encouraged her through this tough journey of exceeding limits.”

Roland Palmaerts, a Belgian-Canadian artist, is currently holding the Guinness World Records (GWR) title for painting nonstop for 60 hours.
