Shem Obafiaye, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer who went viral over his ‘Oga At The Top’ remark in 2013, has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commandant-General.
Obafiaye was the Lagos commandant of the NSCDC when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television and struggled to provide the NSCDC website and hilariously stated that the website of the agency can only be given by his ‘’Oga at the top.” His comment left many Nigerians laughing for days.
Today, he and two others were decorated as deputy commandants general by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
