Corps member in viral dance video becomes Lagos State Youth Ambassador
The Lagos State Government has appointed Osawere Austin Dayo, a corper who went viral for his dance, as a Youth Ambassador in the state.
Dayo, a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan (UI) made headlines with his passionate dance at King’s College in Lagos where he’s serving. (SEE HERE)
Corper Dayo captured public attention after a video surfaced on social media showing him engaging in a callisthenics training session with pupils from King’s College.
The Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, took notice of the video and expressed eagerness to meet Dayo, impressed by his patriotic and energetic spirit.
In a post on his social media account dated Sunday, February 25, 2024, Ogunlende confirmed his meeting with the UI graduate and announced the state’s decision to appoint him as a Youth Ambassador.
