Lawyer allegedly beaten up by police after visiting station to inquire about a client
A lawyer has accused a police officer of beating him up at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja.
Timothy Olamide Olaniyi said he visited the police command to ask about a client who was arrested a month earlier.
However, he alleged that he was beaten like a “condemned criminal” when he got there and was told that it is not all cases that lawyers can handle.
The lawyer made a complaint on X to the Lagos State Police Complaint Response Unit.
