NNPC Fixes March For Oil Drilling In Nasarawa
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has made a new announcement.
The NNPC announced its plan to drill for crude oil in Nasarawa State beginning on March 21, 2023.
NNPC Limited’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kyari, announced this during his meeting with Governor Abdullahi Sule in Lafia on Thursday.
According to him, exploratory activities found that there is a significant amount of oil in the state.
“This work must be done very fast because the whole world is walking away from fossil fuels due to the energy transition, the earlier you go to market, the better for you.
“Otherwise, 10 years from now, no one will agree to put money in the petroleum business unless it comes from your cash flow,” Nairametric quoted him to have said.
