A Nigerian man sparked discussion after he drank cement to avoid paying a debt and then landed in the hospital.
He was later told to pay a #60,000 medical bill after being treated.

In the video, the man, who was already admitted to the hospital, is shown being cared for by a nurse.
The caption of the video revealed that he drank cement because he owed people money that he couldn’t repay.
The post’s caption, which reads: “God have mercy, why will you drink cement because you’re owing people money,” shows the man on the bed receiving an IV drip.
The nurse who treated him posted in the comments that he had been told to pay a #60,000 medical bill for treatment.
