Groom refuses to drink palm wine from bride during traditional wedding
A young Nigerian groom sparks reactions as he throws away palm wine instead of drinking it when served by his bride during their traditional wedding.
A video making the rounds on social media captured a couple’s wedding event in the company of their family and friends.
However, during the wine-sharing part, the groom refused to drink the palm wine served to him. Instead, he spilt it and put cash in the empty in return to his wife-to-be.
The action has since sparked mixed speculations online from social media users who suggested the fear of being poisoned by unknown parties.
