Man set to marry new wife admits he beat his first wife after she refused to let him exercise his “Islamic right to pick a second wife”
A Muslim man has gone on X to explain why he beat up his first wife for objecting to him taking a second wife.
After he announced that he would be marrying a second wife, an X user called him out for beating his wife because she expressed her displeasure with him taking a second wife.
In response, he said he did everything to placate his wife, gave her money, and made promises to her.
However, he admitted he eventually beat her up when she went to a “Cele herbalist” to prevent him from taking a wife.
X users have called him out for casually admitting to domestic violence. Others are expressing concern for the new wife who they claim will also likely be a victim of domestic violence.
