Nigerian Techie recounts how he ‘dealt’ with a US-based woman who failed to pay him for a service he rendered
A Nigerian techie has recounted how he dealt with a US-based woman who failed to pay him for a service he rendered to her.
Posting on his X handle, the man, said he had built a website for the woman and that she refused to pay him his fee of $600 even after she started making money from the website. Enitan said he deleted the website and made a demand of $6000 from the woman after she came pleading.
He wrote;
‘’After building a shopify website, this US based client kept postponing my payment. She was making sales and I was seeing everything in the backend.
After 6 months of begging for $600 with no response , I deleted the website. Almost immediately she came threatening and racially broke shaming me
After a few days she apologised and tried to trick me into putting back the website for my pay.
I told her the fee was now $6000 or she gets another dev to do it.
I left a “This owner refused to pay her developer for 6 months” message on her website.
Legend has it she’s still looking for a developer.”
