POS operator falls victim to scam, ₦70k cash deposit turns into ₦20 notes
A Nigerian POS operator fell for a scam as a ₦70k cash deposit by a customer turned into ₦20 notes the following day.
This was detailed in a post she shared on a popular social media platform, TikTok.
In the video, a lady’s voice narrates the shocking incident of how a cash deposit of ₦70k suddenly transformed into ₦20 notes.
She called the attention of several other POS operators, urging them to be cautious as someone came to her shop the previous day to deposit a total of ₦70k in cash.
However, when she checked the money the next morning, she discovered that the initial ₦70k had turned into a wad of ₦20 notes.
