Three killed as truck suffers brake failure and rams into Lagos market (video)
A truck that reportedly experienced a brake failure crashed into Ayetoro Market in Lagos, resulting in at least three fatalities today November 11.
The truck, which was descending from Ita-Opo, is said to have lost its brakes, colliding with a commercial tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry before ultimately crashing into the market.
This was disclosed via a video shared on the X handle of the Lagos State traffic management authority (LASTMA).
The caption reads
“A fat@l accident occurred due to a brake failure of a Truck descending from Ita-Opo and hit a commercial Tricycle and a parked Toyota Camry, then also rammed into the Ayetoro Market/Complex. 3 lives were lost and they’ve been taken to the morgue at Epe General hospital while we have a Tow truck on ground to evacuate the affected vehicles.
Traffic has been diverted for easy vehicular movement.”
