A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after leaking a chat where her own brother sold her phone number to his friend for ₦700, who later reached out to ask her out.

He went on to confess how he obtained her contact, explaining that her brother initially demanded ₦1,000 in exchange for her number, but he ended up paying just ₦700.
He didn’t stop there — he expressed his romantic interest in her. When the lady asked what he could offer, the young man humorously declared that he likes her deeply and would do anything for her.
In a bid to impress her, he added that his mother has rice at home, and he could also offer her some groundnut oil and red oil.
He wrote: “It’s Basit that gave me your number. He asked for ₦1,000 but I gave him ₦700. Aunty Mariam, I swear I like you. Anything you need, just tell me. My mom has rice at home, I’ll bring it for you. We also have ororo and red oil.”
