A Nigerian man has taken to social media to express his shock after an Ethiopian lady he met at a hotel balcony asked him to buy her a $9,000 bag barely 10 minutes after they exchanged numbers.
The man shared his experience in a viral post on X, formerly Twitter, where he could be heard lamenting how quickly the request came despite barely knowing each other.
In the video, he narrated:
“While I was checking out of my old hotel, I saw an Ethiopian girl. I walked up to her and told her she looked good. I got her number, and we started texting. She then asked me to take her shopping.”
“She showed me what she wanted—a bag that costs $9,000. I told her I didn’t have cash, and she told me to come and pay with my card.”
“Just 10 minutes after exchanging numbers, I should spend $9,000 on you?”
