Mother tattoos 4-year-old son’s arm without dad’s consent, causes uproar
A Nigerian mother has sparked debate online after getting a tattoo for her 4-year-old son without informing his father.
The incident, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), shows the woman documenting the process as she takes her son to a tattoo artist.
In the video, she explains that her son has always admired her tattoo and often expressed his love for it.
Citing this and other undisclosed reasons, she decided to get a tattoo for him.
Footage captures the moment the tattoo artist begins working on the boy’s arm while the mother says:
“He used to tell me, ‘Mummy, I love your tattoo.’ The tattoo says, ‘I love you, Mum.’ I’m not sure if his dad will be pleased, but this is the name I wanted. Why wouldn’t he love his mother?”
After the procedure, she is heard expressing concern about her partner’s reaction, saying:
“I just hope his dad won’t be mad at me.”
