Abducted Kaduna catholic priest regains his freedom

The Kaduna state cleric, Rev. Fr. Ibrahim Amos, who was abducted at Kurmin Risga, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Thursday, April 24, has regained his freedom.

Fr. Amos, who served at St. Gerald Quasi Parish, was said to have returned home unharmed on Friday at about 2am.

His release was announced in a statement signed by Rev. Fr. Dr. Jacob Shanet. In the statement, Shanet expressed gratitude to God and thanked members of the public for their prayers and support throughout the difficult period.

Fr. Shanet also commended the efforts of the local vigilante group, the police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) for their role during the period of uncertainty.
