Video of gospel artiste, Timileyin Ajayi, in court where he was sentenced to death for murder of NYSC member


Gospel musician Oluwatimileyin Ajayi was sentenced to d3ath by hanging today, June 26, by Justice Simon Aboki of the High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, for the murder of Salome Adaidu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who was his girlfriend for less than a year.
Justice Aboki convicted Ajayi on one count of culpable homicide after finding him guilty of k!lling and dismembering Adaidu.
On Sunday, January 12, 2025, Oluwatimileyin, a social media motivational influencer, fitness enthusiast, and gospel singer, was spotted near a church in Orozo, a border town between Nasarawa and Abuja, carrying a sac containing the severed head of Salome.
Following his apprehension, he guided authorities to the fragments of Salome’s body that were still intact.
He was taken into custody and accused of one count of culpable murder in violation of Northern Nigeria’s Penal Code, Section 221, which carries a death sentence.
