If you make the mistake, you’ll see yourself six feet down – Nigerian man advises successful women against ‘marrying down’
A Nigerian man, Ufuoma Bernard has advised successful women not to marry men who less successful than them.
He gave the advice following the tragic d3ath of a Nigerian woman who he alleged endured physical, financial and emotional abuse in her marriage.
According to Mr Bernard, a marriage can work when a man marries a woman who is less successful than him and not the other way round.
“A man can successfully marry down, not the other way round!!!!!! Sefa Awen was an employee of Doosuursh Awen. She married him and moved him into her house!!! This is a classical error in choosing a man. If you’re a successful woman, go for a more successful man. Don’t go for a muscular or bearded man without a Kobo. If you make the mortal mistake of marrying down as a woman you’ll see yourself six feet down or down in drama and despair,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
