Vice Chancellor orders arrest of UNIPORT students for violating school’s sign-out ban

A lady and several other students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) have been arrested on the orders of the Vice Chancellor for violating the school’s ban on sign-out activities.

A viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) has stirred mixed reactions after showing the moment some final-year students were arrested for taking part in a sign-out celebration, despite a clear warning from the university management against it.

In the video, a vehicle believed to belong to the campus security was seen as some men dragged a lady into it. Another male student was also arrested alongside others during the operation.

While the arrests were ongoing, several students who had also participated in the sign-out activity were seen running and looking for places to hide.
