‘Gradually we will finish you’ – Man threatens residents of Plateau communities as latest attack claims 10 lives
Some Nigerians have called on President Bola Tinubu, the Plateau State Government and security agencies to arrest one Umar Auwal Bakwankwashe over threat to kill locals in the state.
Umar made the threat under a post about the attack on Kwi community, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
At least seven persons have been confirmed dead in the attack which was allegedly carried out by suspected Fulani militia on October 31, 2025.
Three other persons were k!lled in Pushit community, Mangu Local Government Area on Saturday, November 1.
“I no tell una? Gradually, we go finish you,” he wrote.
The comment has sparked outrage, fear and condemnation, with many people calling on the Federal Government and relevant security agencies to arrest Umar.
“We are calling on the federal government of Nigeria and plateau state government to arrest this young man named Umar Auwal Bakwankwashe for his comments on a post saying Muslims will finish and keep k!lling Christians in Plateau state, which further shows that there are some of our Muslims brothers who are supporters of this terrorist attacks on innocent Nigerians. We are calling on The Nigerian Police, DSS, Nigerian Army to bring him in for questioning because he appears to know a lot about the attacks on innocent villagers in Nigeria,” a post on Southern Kaduna People reads.
